You can contact our claims department to report an insurance claim at any time. If reporting your claim after business hours, please leave a message that includes your contact information and someone will return your call as soon as possible.
So you have reported your claim to the company….now what?
Non-Weather Losses
Once you have reported your claim to the company, a claim will be opened and assigned to an adjuster.
Please note, it can take 24-48 hours for the adjuster to receive your claim. The adjuster will contact you
to verify what happened in the loss, and will then direct you to the next steps in handling your claim.
While you are waiting for the adjuster to contact you, go ahead and make any temporary repairs such as
removing damaged items such as personal property and wet carpet from the area. Fans can be used to
begin drying out water damage to prevent mold from developing. If the claim is related to damage to
your auto, then contact your body shop of choice and proceed with getting an estimate for repairs.
These steps will help your claim move along faster once the adjuster makes contact with you.
Weather-Related Losses
If your claim is due to a weather-related loss, please begin making any temporary repairs needed to
protect your home or auto from further damage. Make sure to keep receipts from any temporary
repairs as those become part of your claim as well. Taking photographs is helpful in documenting how
things look immediately following a loss. If you have damage to your autos you can go ahead and get an
estimate for repairs, but make sure you wash your vehicle first. If the damage to your vehicle is from
hail, then it will make it much easier to see the hail damage on a clean vehicle.
If you sustained damage to your auto or property, then it is likely many others in the area did as well.
Please be patient as it may take up to 72 hours for the adjuster to receive your claim and make contact
with you. Also, the adjuster may call from a cell phone or business number that is not within your area,
so don’t automatically assume these are spam calls.
